Diego was exceptional! He knew all of the places to look for crabs, birds, frogs, bats, sloths, monkeys, and more! We would never would have had such a worthwhile experience without his knowledge and experience. He also shared valuable information about the park and vegetation that makes us appreciate and value this beautiful country even more!

We had a great time on our walk with Esteban. He was very knowledgeable and very good at finding creatures in the dark; I don’t know how he does it! He took an amazing photo of a tree frog using my phone that I wouldn’t have been able to take myself. Definitely worth it!

On this guided tour, conducted on the private property of Biophilia (just 10 minutes from Quepos), you’ll walk along safe trails and embark on a magical experience through the nighttime forest. Discover the night-active fauna characteristic of the area and learn about the flora that sustains forest life.
Benefit from your guide’s expertise in spotting the hidden wonders of the forest and capture stunning photographs with the aid of UV lights and flashlights we provide.
Commonly observed animals during the Educational Jungle Night Walk include tree frogs, nocturnal birds, snakes, spiders, and scorpions. If you’re fortunate, you might also spot nocturnal mammals such as anteaters, coatis, raccoons, deer, ocelots, opossums, armadillos, kinkajous, or sloths.
On a night walk in the jungle, you could encounter a variety of nocturnal animals like owls, frogs, insects, and perhaps even some small mammals. The guide will help you spot and identify these creatures.
It’s a good idea to bring a flashlight or headlamp (with a red filter if possible to avoid disturbing wildlife), wear sturdy shoes, and dress in long sleeves and pants to protect against insects and plants.
The tour is guided by experts who are well-prepared for nighttime excursions, and they will ensure your safety throughout the walk. If you’re worried, let your guide know—they’re there to help and make your experience enjoyable.
