Beatriz Villanueva
Naturalist Tour Guide
I was born in Pérez Zeledón, near the highest point in Costa Rica, Cerro Chirripó. Passionate about environmental education and languages, I pursued a career in biology, always dreaming of fieldwork that connects me with nature and diverse cultures. I specialize in frogs, amphibians, and medicinal plants, and have been a guide in Manuel Antonio for 5 years, sharing this piece of paradise with visitors.
Bio
I was born in Pérez Zeledón, the gateway to the highest point in Costa Rica, Cerro Chirripó, standing at 3820 meters above sea level. I have always enjoyed environmental education and learning different languages.
During my university studies, I always dreamed of being able to work in the field, where I could be in contact with nature and people, learning from different cultures. As a biologist, it is a dream to be able to work in something that allows me a little bit of everything.
My main areas of interest are frogs, amphibians, and medicinal plants. I have been guiding Manuel Antonio for 5 years. Manuel Antonio has a bit of everything, as part of the Savegre River biosphere reserve, it is a little piece of paradise that allows us to teach and give our tourists a piece of Costa Rica.
