José Montero is the chief biologist of the Biophilia project, specializing in butterfly research and author of the book “Butterflies of Costa Rica.” Currently, in addition to working on a new edition of his book, he leads a pioneering project in Costa Rica on water research in the canton of Quepos and its surroundings. This project is carried out in collaboration with students from various universities in the United States, reflecting his commitment to science and environmental education.
